Our Mission:
- To provide free general health
care to financially disadvantaged residents, regardless of their age,
sex, race or religion affiliations.
- To ensure children's health by
providing preventive medical and dental care.
- To promote public's awareness of
preventive medical care and to educate the general public on pertinent
health issues.
- To provide emergency
medical relief to disastrous and/or disadvantaged areas.
The majority of low income and homeless
residents cannot afford basic medical services. There are few options
available if you are sick and don't have insurance and money. Poverty
is often compounded by sickness. Buddhist Tzu Chi Free Clinic is here
to provide medical care to the disadvantaged.
Our patients are from a diverse
ethnic background; 42% Hispanics, 43% Asians, 11% Caucasians, and 4%
others.
Being a nonprofit
volunteer-based organization the Free Clinic is blessed with the
compassionate services of our excellent team of volunteers. There are
more than a hundred volunteers working at the Clinic. The volunteers
include medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staffs.

Tzu Chi Free Clinic is an
affiliate of the Buddhist
Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation, USA (also known as Tzu Chi
Foundation). It is an international charitable organization founded by Dharma
Master Cheng Yen in Taiwan in 1966. Please visit our Tzu Chi global
web site at http://www.tzuchi.org for more information.
