Tzu Chi Humanitarianism is every Tzu Chi person's
commitment to manifesting the Buddhist spirit of "great compassion
to strangers and great mercy for all" by doing good works
of compassion and relief. Ideally, it works toward the purpose
of spreading the spirit of unconditional Great Love and instilling
seeds of love and compassion so that they may spread and circulate
throughout society. In this way, the beauty and compassion of
humanity may be fully realized and the souls of individuals may
be purified. Then society can be harmonious and we can rid the
world of hardship and suffering.
