The Tzu Chi Nursing College and Tzu Chi Medical
School each have three special classrooms designed to teach the
"Tao" of tea ceremony, floral arrangement, and traditional
calligraphy (the Nursing College also has a Zen cultivation classroom).
Together these make up the "humanities classrooms."
These specialized classrooms were designed
with a style of classical elegance. The interiors emphasize color
and fragrance, thus creating an atmosphere of serenity and refinement.
The schools use these classrooms to their fullest potential, offering
elective courses in tea ceremony, floral arrangement, and calligraphy
to all students.
