When Tzu Chi members or employees go to the
Abode of Still Thoughts in Hualien to see the latest developments
in the Tzu Chi missions, learn about Master Cheng Yen's philosophy
and experience the Tzu Chi spirit through various activities,
this is called "searching for one's roots."
The Abode of Still Thoughts is where
the Tzu Chi Foundation was established, and it is the source of
the Tzu Chi teachings. When members return to their spiritual
home, they learn about the history of Tzu Chi and the spirit of
Master Cheng Yen. In this spiritual field of blessings, they can
also sow their own seeds of goodness and enlightenment in the
hope that they will root and sprout, revealing their goodness
in their hearts and putting that goodness into action.
