Sister Liu often
drives Tzu Chi members to visit Hsintien Park. She joined
Tzu Chi last year, and now she contributes her free time when
her children go to school to Tzu Chi.
She said, "I'm
in charge of driving Tzu Chi members to Hsintien Park and
giving them a tour." During our interview, she was humble,
gentle and attentive in taking care of her tour group.
On February 21, Sister
Liu guided the Cheng family. Miss Cheng's grandfather had
had a stroke and was attended by his Filipino maid. Miss Cheng's
grandmother said, "Our Filipino maid is a very caring
person, and she is also a Tzu Chi member!"
A compassionate
and caring nanny
The friend from the
Philippines is Miss Gomazon. She is married and is working
as a family nanny in Taiwan for half a year. When she learned
about the severe earthquake in Iran, she decided to donate
half of her salary to help the victims. She said, "I
don't have much money, so I can only give this little bit."
After that, she decided
to make regular long-term donations, and she eventually became
a Tzu Chi member. She said in her accented Mandarin, "We
should help each other."
During lunch, Gomazon
had to feed Grandfather Cheng spoon by spoon. She only ate
her own meal after the others had finished theirs. She is
indeed a caring person.
Gomazon is dedicated
to her job, always wearing a smile and willing to give. This
is the Tzu Chi spirit. She undoubtly posseses the quality
of a true Tzu Chi member.
