| I came
to Min Ho Middle School with Master Cheng Yen on Apirl 7,
2001. The main structure of the school was completed, and
the workers were preparing to apply washed-stone finishing
to the exterior.
Master had been on the road for several
days visiting different construction sites. From April
5 to 7, Master went to 28 Hope Project schools, and she
did not slow down. It went without saying that the trip
was taxing on her health. It was almost dusk when she
arrived at Min Ho Middle School. All of the crew who had
been following her appeared very exhausted.
Through the lens of my camera, Master's
silhouette was strong and upright as always, but we all
knew she was overexerting herself.
Master Cheng Yen often told us:
A common, bustling life passes by like a single day. But
when one give selflessly, the very moment turns into eternity.
