The Tzu Chi Sept. 11th Project consists
of both emergency relief and long-term assistance plans to
aid those affected by the September 11th tragedy. With compassion
and relief, Tzu Chi aims to help anyone affected by these
events. This includes members of the New York Police and Fire
Departments, those missing or injured at the World Trade Center
and the Pentagon, those on the four hijacked planes, and those
who live close to the impacted areas.
Principles:
Direct assistance, priority,
respect, timeliness, and practicality.
Project phases:
Emergency response, continuing aid, and long-term support.
Our long-term goal is to accompany
the families through these difficult times and to assist the
children grow up healthy and achieve their potential.
