October 13 Prayers for Peace
On October 13,
from 9 to 11 o'clock, Tzu Chi Foundation in Taiwan will hold
a solemn, meritorious ceremony for survivors and families
of victims of the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington,
DC. The Tzu Chi Great Love Television station will record
the entire activity. At the same time, they will make a live
broadcast from an activity in Peace Park in New Jersey. Tzu
Chi members from around the United States will join with victims'
families, religious personnel, and representatives from the
state government and the Red Cross in praying for blessings.
Great Love Television will begin broadcasting
the program at 7 am EST on October 13. At 9:11 am, the ceremony
in Peace Park in New Jersey will be broadcast live. The day's
activities will be deeply meaningful. Even if Tzu Chi members
are unable to personally attend, they can still tune in to
Great Love Television at 9:11 EST. Tzu Chi people in every
part of the world can thus join together to pray for blessings
and express our sorrow for the victims of the 9-11 tragedy,
and pray for peace for the whole world.
